Kaitoro time

Every Friday afternoon in Team Koru the children choose from a range of exciting activities to explore, create or challenge themselves. Last Friday we had sport, wheels, sandpit, dress ups, Japanese writing, poi making, construction and art and craft on offer.

Writing in Room 12

For the past two afternoons in rūma 12 we have been doing silent writing. We put on some writing music, have picture prompts, sentence starters, and our wonderful imaginations to get us started. Today some of our writing was shared to the class and what fabulous authors we are becoming. We were aiming to spend just 10 minutes on this but we loved it so much we ended up writing for 20 minutes, with some of us taking our books home to keep on writing!

Hockey Skills

Today Rooms 10 and 11 started Hockey skills with Sanjay. He did a fabulous job of developing the children's knowledge of how to hold a hockey stick and how to move the ball with a hockey stick by playing some fun games. Check out our photos and video!
